I have been keen on photography since the late sixties. The first SLR was a Pratika but my love must have been the Olympus OM1N that came a few years later.
In those days transparency film was the rage and like many others of my generation, I have boxes of slides occupying space in the loft.
My last film camera was a superb Nikon 801 and by now I was sold on the Nikon brand.
A whole new experience beckoned with the development of Digital and my Nokon D 70s was a proud buy.
I have recently moved to a Nikon D7000 and look forward to developing my hobby further over the coming years
The links for this page link largely to photographs taken whilst on our travels though I also include examples taken closer to home. Living in Essex provides so many opportunities for interesting shots. Not only is the surrounding countryside so attractive but we are also close to the coast and particularly the fascinating coastal landscape of the east coast .
In our earlier days there was a focus on a growing family but in recent years I have concentrated more on landscape shots. I am a novice at Photoshop Elements though I am beginning to find my way around.
A recent convert to RAW, I am now realising the potential for improving shots.
